Happy 4th Birthday, my son!

Our son, Jed, turns four years old today. We did not prepare anything fancy but all our closest relatives were here to celebrate the day with us.  He was so happy with everything, especially his gifts.  I love that he is able to fully appreciate all this compared to the previous birthday celebrations.

A few days ago, he was already doing a birthday countdown.  What thrilled me more was this morning when we gave him our gifts, it was fine by him to wait until he blows the candle later today before he opens the gifts.  He waited even though he was so excited to open them all at once.  How many kids can do that, really.  I’m one proud mama. All I really had to say was he is going to open the gifts “later.”  It always helps for us to give him a time frame.

Happy birthday, my son! We love you very much. You are a darling and you give us so much joy.  We continue to pray for that you will choose to be the man that God has purposed for you to be.
