Happy New Year!!!

The hubby and I quietly welcomed the new year today. The little guy was already sleeping and we were busy singing our hearts out a few hours already, when we decided to do the countdown starting at 15 minutes before 12 midnight.

I have been pretty busy the last few days of 2009. Nope I wasn’t part of the superstitious bunch who believe in getting things done a particular way to start the new year right. That’s just crap, if you ask me. If you want to start at something, then you can do it when you want to. I was basically just maximizing the time that we’re not homeschooling. We will be going back to our homeschool routine next week and I won’t afford to squeeze in those fixing things up to my already packed schedule.

I was finally able to sort the already dry stuff (documents and pictures) that got flooded during the typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) the day after Christmas and then I took care of the library. Boy, do I feel relieved to be able to finally do this despite the sneezes I had to do in between. I also took care of some mounts and now I am to figure out how to take care of the those cords sticking out from under the LCD screen. Although getting it stand will probably make the cords look uncluttered, we really could make use of the space by having them mounted instead.

So there. It was a rather interesting 2009 to look back to, with all those trials and blessings. We are thrilled to welcome 2010 with God’s promises in our hearts. Happy New Year, folks! :D
