Mom’s House Under Construction

This is what the recent typhoon left my mom’s house. It tore off the narra plywood walling and the house’s wood parquet, laminated at that. Construction has been ongoing for almost 2 weeks now. The workers are pretty fast. My mom first spoke with the contractor that built my family’s house and she quoted the cost at P300,000. She got a foreman of sorts and she saved a whole lot of hard earned money.
All that was needed to be replaced are the walling and the flooring. The walls will be painted with semi-gloss paint and tiles will be installed on the floor. No plumbing or electrical job, so I encouraged mama to let go of the contractor and get avail of the workers services straight. Why pay extra, right? The house is almost done and it’s bright and shiny. We’re excited for them.
