This past holiday, I have decided to lay low and just shove blogging to the backseat for once. Not worry about backlogs or working on drafts. Nothing. But that did not mean that I stashed our digital cameras away. On the contrary, they were as busy as ever, snapping photos here and there. I got together with a few of my high school friends a couple of days before Christmas. We had fun having massages and the overflow of food at Wensha Spa. It was actually a birthday treat of my high school bff. Now, we are off to planning our Singapore getaway. Travel Jobs might just be one of the things one of us is eyeing but we do hope to have a grand and lovely time as we visit our good friend who is now a resident in Singapore.

I have a very strong feeling that I won’t be able to book us flights as cheap as I used to. Lately, even promotional tickets have additional charges. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’d come and offer Wholesale Insurance Services with it some day. The one that we have booked for December next year cost us more than 15k. While this trip we recently had going to Hongkong, we only paid less than 3.5k for three round trip tickets. Anyway, airlines have got to figure out to survive too.

But since I have a musician for a hubby and he’s been onto this particular electric guitar for a while now, a Epiphone Dot guitar might just be that he will appreciate. I think it’s something that he can use to record using his favorite Garage Band and iRig over his iPad. Now, the question is where to find this brand locally.

Doc was surprised himself yesterday when he saw that after only a week of adjustment, the cross bite is already relatively corrected. The abrupt response of my bones was the culprit to the nagging pain! My doc does not just have a fine clinic and services and great dental equipment financing, I assume, he also knows what he’s doing. I was given amoxicillin to treat the swollen jaw and help me heal the disintegrated jaw bones and also Celebrex for the pain. Hopefully, this will all go away in a few days! I can’t imagine having our vacay, celebrating our 10th anniversary in such pain.

That aside, we also have been slacking on our home expansion funds, I admit. Aside from the few “emergencies” we needed to take care these past months. We have been pretty much enjoyed a bit of traveling this year. Something that we barely were able to do some years back. We thank God for those vacations. The quick trips that we need to just getaway from the busyness of the city.

As for the home expansion plan, we’re thinking of scratching the clawfoot tub and have a bath enclosure instead. We already have a tub on the ground floor so a second tub won’t be necessary. As for the rest, we have pretty much a maximized space which does not look overwhelmingly cramped. We’re excited about this. But we also recognize that it is only by God’s grace and provision that we will be able to do this.

My husband has followed David Beckham for as long as we can remember. Being a soccer player himself, he really would love our son to love the game as he does. After Beckham hurt his achilles tendon, I was not too sure that he could still go back to his game. But given that he’s probably had luxury top rehab centers to work on him, going back in shape wasn’t so hard for him after all.

What’s good is whenever I’m in this mood, I am, for the most part, counting my blessings and am grateful. I more often than not act upon it by sending quick notes and personal messages over Facebook to people that bless my heart. Some that I can get hold of, I even give gifts to say thank you. Just a random thought I have for today. Life is good. Even though our circumstances, most of the time take our eyes off of the good things, we really should go right back to being thankful for the grace that God’s overflow us on a daily basis.

We thought of going to Korea just for the little guy to experience wearing Snowshoes. But then again, maybe it is not time yet. We also booked for Cebu in time for Jeff’s 37th birthday. What I have observed about these current promos is that they aren’t as cheap as they used to be. There are extra charges that used to be non-existent in the previous promos we availed of.

We are grateful that we are able to enjoy the privilege of traveling, no matter if we always go for the cheapest airline promos.

But parking was a torture. Even the top most open parking area was swamped and it took my husband hours before he was able to park. We multi tasked as I went right ahead and shopped while he waited for a slot. I was practically done with all the shopping when he was able to park. Yes, it was that bad. It’s a good thing that I did not have to buy christmas gifts for brothers like most friends usually spend a whole bunch of time on. With all the good gifts we were able to get our loved ones for less, I take back my regret that night of going with the crowd. It was worth it.
