Some thoughts on financial security

My mom got me an insurance coverage when I was in college. It was one of those old insurance policies that make the policy holder pay for such a long time. A couple of decades later, premium is still being paid. Apparently, it will mean losing the majority of the premiums we have paid for if we would stop paying altogether. My mom decided to just keep on. Methinks it’s just a total waste of money and resources. The coverage is a mere P300,000 and almost a lifetime of having to pay is just not worth it. It is just good that insurance companies of this generation like cheap life insurance quotes have already provided options for its policy holders. If at all, I honestly believe that we ultimately are at the mercy of our creator. Even the best of insurance companies can get bankrupt at His will. But then again, it is just like saving up in a bank. The wise thing to do is to weigh all factors in, even get feedback about the company that you are looking into getting insured in.
