A second storey for our house

My folks’ place is almost done. As I mentioned in the previous post, they’re giving their house’s interior a makeover. No more narra plywood walls and wood parquet floor. It looks so much brighter and better. It used to feel and look so dark and gloomy. They got it the walls painted semi-gloss and replaced the wood parquet flooring with daintier tiles.

Plans are in the way to get a second storey built for our house. It’s going to serve as our higher ground, if in case flooding happens again. For sure it’s just gonna be a walk in bath this time, with a shower enclosure perhaps. Construction will probably begin in the first quarter of 2010.
