Some thoughts about the holidays and home expansion
Christmas is just weeks away and we still have not gotten the tree nor one decor up. Has a lot to do with our original plan of having the house expansion done by this time of the year. It was our plan mid of this year but did not push through because the expansion that we originally planned for a second floor has yet expanded to the third. With our limited space, we figured it was best to have a third floor with half of the area open for get togethers.
That aside, we also have been slacking on our home expansion funds, I admit. Aside from the few “emergencies” we needed to take care these past months. We have been pretty much enjoyed a bit of traveling this year. Something that we barely were able to do some years back. We thank God for those vacations. The quick trips that we need to just getaway from the busyness of the city.
As for the home expansion plan, we’re thinking of scratching the clawfoot tub and have a bath enclosure instead. We already have a tub on the ground floor so a second tub won’t be necessary. As for the rest, we have pretty much a maximized space which does not look overwhelmingly cramped. We’re excited about this. But we also recognize that it is only by God’s grace and provision that we will be able to do this.
