Eating healthy and living green

Sometimes I wonder if our family will ever have hope on being vegetarians. The husband is a big meat eater. The few times I attempted to have us eat a once a week all veggie diet, he went out of sorts and cranky. He gets hungry easily when he does not consume meat.

My thoughts on road safety

There is one thing that I have not failed to witness every single time I was on the road this past week – motorcycle riders who do not follow the law. Either they lack the necessary helmet that they need to wear while on the highway or they go on swerving no end. Practically asking for an accident to take place. There was even one night that I almost panicked when the motorcycle beside our car was practically swaying left and right – a drunk for its driver is a strong probability.

Counseling course

It was at the beginning of 2011’s school year when I decided to take formal courses on counseling. While the load might not be all that crazy just yet, I was burdened to be more equipped as the issues I work with becomes more challenging over time.

35 and loving it!

I am 35 and loving it! Unlike most women who dread to reveal their age, I joyfully and with full of thanksgiving in my heart will shout it out that I’m 35! I confess, despite my resolve to be more confident about roaming around the metro since I was armed with a Garmin, I really don’t feel like driving most of the time. Believe it or not, I still find myself lost within the metropolis the few times I attempt to drive myself some place.

I was only able to finish half the task that I had in mind to finish yesterday. But beat myself up, I won’t.

Boracay soon!

I confess, last week I felt that I was not the least bit thrilled to be flying again to Boracay next week. I so felt it that I even twitted about it. Oh well, it’s all different now. When I think why we booked that flight in time for Jeff’s 36th birthday, I got back to the purpose of the vacay.

To cable tv or not

It was our intention that we do not have a cable subscription. With my nature of my work and schedule, there really is not much time left for television watching for this family. If we would at all turn on the tv, it would be because my son will play Wii or Xbox (1hr max per day tops).

Blogging updates

I have not done a lot of updating all across my blog for sometime now. I think this is what happens when you have gone to hibernate for a while. The tendency is to extend it for as long as you can. I cannot be more thankful for God’s provision that I can be as hands on as I am now to homeschooling my son and being able to manage my household as I do.
