With Heart Day coming very soon, my ever non-conventional hubby just came up with the sweetest gift ever – a boyfriend inspired watch Fossil. At first I thought the finish was made of mother of pearl but it was only “pearlized.” Read the rest of this entry »
After a couple of years of not making my special embutido, I finally taught my assistant to make a batch last week. I remember making up my own recipe when I got tired of having to buy the pricey but yummy ones sold at Cherry Supermarket.

The downside of not documenting things is that you go back from scratch and my memory is not too reliable nowadays. My embutido is not as special as it used to be. But I think I figured out what’s lacking and the next batch will be far better. I will be working on my filet mignon recipe next.

God’s mercies are new every morning and so are they in 2012! We are not going to enjoy recycled mercies this 2012 but brand new ones every single day still. When I come to think about how God has sustained me and my family this past years, I can only bow down in awe and gratefulness.

We have pretty much on a blogging hiatus since the holiday struck. Getting together with friends and loved ones during this season is awesome! We don’t just indulge in good food but also catch up on the things we have been missing from each other’s lives.

Before we left Hongkong some days ago, I promised myself I am going to do my posts about our trip. For some reason, when we went to visit Bohol and Davao with the family earlier this year, I kept on delaying blogging about it until the novelty totally wore off and I just did not have the motivation to write anymore.

A week until our 10th anniversary and I still haven’t gotten my husband a present! It is not as if there’s anything new with that. I was just really hoping I will be able to do things differently this year. It’s our 10th anniversary, for crying out loud!

Last week was supposed to be the last time I was to visit the ortho for the month of November. But I had to do a quick visit yesterday because of the unbearable pain I have been having these last few days due to the cross bite correction adjustment done on my braces last week. The pain was too much that there was no way I will be functional without taking Mefenamic Acid. I wake up in the middle of sleep because of the horrible pain!

Christmas is just weeks away and we still have not gotten the tree nor one decor up. Has a lot to do with our original plan of having the house expansion done by this time of the year. It was our plan mid of this year but did not push through because the expansion that we originally planned for a second floor has yet expanded to the third. With our limited space, we figured it was best to have a third floor with half of the area open for get togethers.

My son is joining LA Galaxy’s Football Clinic on December 2, 2011! We are really over the moon because of this. After my husband bought tickets for the two of us for LA Galaxy’s friendly game against Philippine Azkals happening on the 3rd, he went on to inquire about the football clinic and we were told that we can pay for the joining fee via bank deposit and his name will be included in the list!

It’s the time of the month again when I’m a little more emotional than usual. I cry nearly over every single time I remember someone I miss, pray for a friend, just about anything. It’s the way I am a few days before Aunt Flow comes to visit. I’m sure this is not uncommon to me.
What’s good is whenever I’m in this mood, I am, for the most part, counting my blessings and am grateful. Read the rest of this entry »
