Sir Nicolay’s Basic Digital Photography Class

Four days after, I am still a little overwhelmed from all the many things I have learned in Sir Nicolay’s class. It surely is so worth it. I came to that class to just know the basics and he surely exceeded my expectation. No, I am not close to being a real good photographer just yet. It is going to take a while, I know.

The complexity of this seemingly simple machine can be very challenging to set. I still find myself going lax and settle on the P mode instead. But I never get the desired shot, like when I’m on manual mode when I was in Sir James’ class. I am still trying to figure everything out. And with the scam that this Dale and/or Elvira Morgan, former owner of www.eznet-hosting.com has done to us (who we paid in advance for hosting for 4 of our sites, just gave away his or her domain – eznet-hosting.com) in a forum, I wasn’t exactly able to review the things I have learned during the class. I honestly cannot understand how people could do this and think they can get away with it. Money is just money and if he thinks he’s had us, then he is fooling himself. We are accountable for everything that we do.  He’s going to answer for this one time or another.

Anyway, I am not going to let anything get in the way of having the quality of life that I want to live. Life is always a set of choices. Circumstances change but it is how we respond that matters. As for the photography class that my friend, Ria and I attended, we really had fun. I did not get a handful of affirmation from our teacher, Sir James, when it came to the pictures that I got him to critic. I actually got one nod, and that’s the picture above. :-)

After a couple of hours of relentless lecture, he got us to go around Bahay ng Alumni in U.P. Diliman to take 3o to 60 pictures. When we got back, he had us choose 6 to 10 pictures amongst our shots, jotted them down and handed him our SD wherein he copied the file names of the photoes that we chose. Amongst all the 10 that I submitted, this one is the sole photo that he had a good word on. Majority that I took were tagged as “boring,” and I didn’t mind, it was true. :-)
