Sure, I should really have gotten used to it. Almost 8 years married and I am still in shock sometimes how the hubs can outdo himself every time. Here’s the usual scenario in our home — Jeff coming back home after leaving less than 5 minutes ago (if we’re lucky). Coming back for either his wallet or mobile. Crazy, eh? Well, today is especially unbelievable. But then again, not.

We treated my folks from the 2,000 GC that I won via the Between Bites contest last week and when we were walking towards the parking area, I once again saw that look in his eyes. Something is lost. The parking ticket. That’s not the end of it. When he dropped us home, he left his Barong. He changed to a shirt for the youth service. He usually brings with him the barong that he will use for the evening service. So I called him up to have him come back for it. I thought I was about to shock him with the news that he needs to come back for something. But it was me who got surprised because of the unfamiliar voice at the other end of the line. It was Ric. My dear husband left his mobile at church!

That was 3 in row and it’s not funny anymore. This is my husband, Jeff. His one weakness that it took me a while to get used to and am still adjusting to. Sometimes I feel like banging my head on the wall out of frustration, but then again, this is too trivial a weakness, if I come to think of it. I love him no less and it just amusing that even the people we love at church kidded him as he left the church tonight. They asked him to make sure that his mobile and the rest of his stuff are with him and even told him, “Pastor, baka makalimutan niyo sarili niyo ha” (Pastor, make sure you’re not forgetting yourself).
