Leaky roof needs repair
Our home is more than two years old and the beautiful ceiling already needs some repair! When we were still renting apartments, repairs and home issues are not really major issues for our family. Major repairs always have to be taken care of the landlords and most often than not, they don’t anyway. This is why a bunch of books were destroyed because of the leaking roof from the last apartment we rented before we transferred here. Yes, the same landlord that promised to install an emergency ladder but never did.
After having seen a fire eat up four houses and an SUV just a block away from that apartment, I vowed to leave the place the soonest possible time and we did. Thank God for his provision. We were on the third floor and with a baby with me, and a very narrow alley to get to our apartment, you can only imagine how I stressed over this.
Now, that one’s out of the way, being homeowners isn’t always a walk in the park. But I sure will never exchange to renting again. In the last two years that we’ve been here, we have to get our Grohe faucets replaced twice already and now the roof leak needs to be taken care of too. This is the next project we should work on and some repainting jobs t the kitchen too.
